Covid-19 update at Crenshaw Peterson

The concern over Covid-19 here in the Michigan area is a rising level of concern.  As many of our clients fall into the high risk definition put out by the Center for Disease Control and/or are over the age of 60 we are taking this threat very seriously in an effort to minimize the risk to our clients and staff.

If you or a member of your family have traveled in the last two weeks, or are currently sick (fever, cough, runny nose, congestion, flu symptoms, difficulty breathing etc) or have come into contact without someone you know to have the virus, please call to reschedule your appointment and do not come into our office.  If your matter is urgent, we will schedule a video conference to meet with you virtually.  We have two pregnant attorneys in the office, so please take this seriously as we don't want to pass any type of illness, Covid-19 included, onto them.

If you do come to our office we ask that you first visit the bathroom to wash your hands thoroughly before entering the conference room.  Our restrooms are cleaned regularly throughout the day to maintain the recommendations set by the CDC.  We will also be cleaning the conference room before and after each client meeting to ensure our clients are safe if they do come into the office as well as door knobs and frequently touched surfaces.

Our staff will also be washing their hands regularly between appointments and when they come into or leave the office.  Unfortunately, during this time we will not be shaking hands with clients or giving hugs, and we may sit at a distance within the conference room itself.  None of our staff are currently experiencing any symptoms nor have come into contact with anyone who has.  However, if anyone on our staff does begin to show symptoms or come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with the virus they will not be in the office and will begin to work remotely.

If you are concerned about coming in, we will arrange for video or phone conferences or take other steps to ensure your legal needs are met while protecting your, and our, health and safety.

We at Crenshaw Peterson are doing all we can to ensure the safety of our cleints while meeting your legal needs during this time.   We are continuing to monitor recommendations from the CDC as well as Executive Orders from the State of Michigan and will keep you updated if anything changes.
